The Connected Caregiver An Online Sanctuary for Long‑Term Caregivers
Honoring the losses — and the grief — carried across years, crises, and the many seasons of caregiving.
A sanctuary for the body that has carried so much.
Your caregiving story is long, layered, and often lived in silence. These offerings are designed to meet you where you are — whether you want quiet grounding, gentle community, or deeper support. Each offers a different level of nourishment, all rooted in somatic care, trauma‑honest pacing, and grief-literate language.
This is not a place where you must explain everything. This is a place where your body can be honored, heard, and gently tended.
This Sanctuary Is For caregivers who have lived:
years of medical complexity
cycles of crisis and recovery
seasons of hope and fear
the grief of watching their child change
the grief of losing their child
the grief of continuing on after loss
the grief of being the one who holds everything
If you have ever thought, “I don’t know where to put all of this,” this circle is where it can go.
Why Sanctuary Matters
Caregivers often live in a state of quiet endurance. Their grief is cumulative, layered, and often invisible. This sanctuary offers:
a place to exhale
a place to be witnessed
a place to soften
a place to be human again
It is a monthly reminder that you are not alone on the long road.
Explore the Sanctuary Offerings
Our approach encourages reflection as much as action. You’ll walk away not only with new techniques, but with a deeper understanding of how and why they work. The goal is to leave you with ideas and skills that feel clear, useful, and genuinely meaningful in your life.
The First Week Sanctuary Class
A soft doorway into the month’s theme.
Each month begins with a gentle, non‑interactive class designed to help long‑term caregivers settle, orient, and breathe. This class is a quiet space — a place where you can arrive without needing to share, explain, or prepare. You simply come as you are.
In this class, I offer a tender teaching on the month’s theme, a grounding meditation, and a somatic practice to support the body that has carried so much. You may listen with your camera on or off. You may lie down, sit, or move. You may simply let the words and practices wash over you.
It is also a beautiful option for caregivers who want support but are not ready for live sharing.
A replay is available for those who need time flexibility or prefer to move through the class at their own pace.

This Class Is Not
It is not a sharing circle.

It is not a place where you must explain anything.
This class is a quiet beginning — a way to tend the body first.
The Monthly Thematic Digital Journal
A quiet companion for the body that carries your caregiving story.
Your caregiving story lives in your body — in the places that have tightened, softened, endured, and remembered. This monthly digital journal is a gentle, somatic companion designed to help you tend those places with softness and spaciousness. It pairs seamlessly with the First Week Sanctuary Class and the monthly circles, but it also stands beautifully on its own.
A Journal Designed for Long‑Road Caregivers
Each month, you receive a themed digital journal that offers quiet, trauma‑honest support. The pages are spacious, minimal, and intentionally slow — created to meet caregivers exactly where they are.
Every journal includes:
A gentle monthly theme
Somatic reflections to help you listen to your body
Soft prompts that do not require storytelling
Seasonal metaphors to orient your nervous system
A grounding practice you can return to anytime
A closing ritual to help your body integrate
This journal is a sanctuary you can hold in your hands.
Why This Journal Matters
Caregivers often live in vigilance, exhaustion, and emotional accumulation. Writing can feel overwhelming — or impossible — when the body is tired. This journal is different.
It is designed for:
bodies that are carrying grief
minds that are overstretched
hearts that are tender
caregivers who need gentle, non‑demanding reflection
people who want support without needing to share
It offers a quiet place to land each month, without pressure.
The journal is part of a larger sanctuary arc:
You can use it before the class, after the circle, along with a 1:1 Support Session or entirely on its own. It is a companion, not a requirement.
What’s Inside Each Journal
Theme introduction — a gentle doorway into the month
Somatic check‑ins — simple ways to listen to your body
Reflection prompts — soft, non‑directive invitations
A grounding practice — breath, sensory, or body‑based
A symbolic ritual — something small and meaningful
A closing page — a place to settle what surfaced
This Journal Is For
Long‑term caregivers
Those living in chronic vigilance
People who prefer private reflection
Anyone who wants gentle monthly support
Circle participants who want deeper integration
Class participants who want a quiet companion
Caregivers who cannot attend live offerings
This journal is not a task. It is not homework. It is not a place where you must tell your whole story.
It is a soft, monthly invitation to tend the body that has carried your caregiving experience — with gentleness, spaciousness, and care.
The Sanctuary Circles for Long‑Term Caregivers
Honoring the losses — and the grief — carried across years, crises, and the many seasons of caregiving.
This Circle is for caregivers who have carried more than most people will ever understand. It is for the mothers who have lived years — sometimes decades — in survival mode. It is for those who have endured medical crises, identity shifts, exhaustion, hope, fear, and the quiet ache of watching someone you love struggle.
This Circle Exists because long‑term caregiving creates a kind of grief that doesn’t fit into the world’s usual categories. It doesn’t begin with death, and it doesn’t end there either. It accumulates — slowly, quietly, somatically — across years, crises, and seasons.
This Circle honors:
The grief of vigilance, medical trauma, identity erosion, exhaustion, & survival
The grief of watching your child suffer; of death — and of continuing on
This is a sanctuary for all of it.
What You’ll Experience Each Month
A 75‑minute gathering designed with trauma‑honest pacing, somatic grounding, and gentle emotional safety.
Opening Grounding Ritual A soft landing for your nervous system — breath, sensory orientation, and gentle presence.
Somatic Storytelling Invitation A non‑verbal pathway for grief expression through gesture, posture, breath, or stillness. No pressure. No performance. No retraumatizing narrative.
Story Stones or Sensory Anchors A choice‑based ritual that allows grief to be held externally, symbolically, and safely.
Compassionate Witnessing The group receives each expression with simple presence — no fixing, no analyzing, no advice.
Seasonal Reflection Prompt Each month aligns with a theme from the long‑road curriculum: vigilance, identity, body memory, time, belonging, resilience, and more.
Closing Sanctuary Ritual A gentle return to steadiness, honoring what was shared and what remains tender.
What This Circle Is Not
This is not therapy. This is not a support group. This is not a place where you must explain everything.
This is not where most of your stories will be told. This is where the body that has experienced and carried your stories will be honored, heard and gently nurtured.
This is a sanctuary — a place to be held, not to perform.
Peer Companioning Support Sessions
Companionship for the long quiet work of surviving
These Support Sessions are a place where your nervous system can breathe. Where your truth doesn’t need to be softened and where you don’t have to explain your life to be understood.
This is peer support grounded in lived experience — co‑regulation, grief literacy, and caregiver‑to‑caregiver connection.
Not therapy. Not coaching.
Just companionship for the long quiet work of surviving.
This Is:
Peer companionship — support from someone who has lived inside medical complexity, grief, and long‑haul caregiving.
A non‑hierarchical space — no fixing, no evaluating, no power dynamic.
Somatic co‑regulation — shared nervous‑system steadiness through breath, pacing, tone, and presence.
Grief‑literate witnessing — a place where loss, love, and exhaustion can be spoken without being minimized.
Experience‑based support — grounded in lived reality, not theory or clinical frameworks.
A quiet room for your nervous system — where your body can arrive exactly as it is.
This Is Not
Not therapy — no diagnosis, treatment, or clinical mental health care.
Not coaching — no performance goals, productivity metrics, or “best self” frameworks.
Not expertise‑based guidance — I’m not here to instruct or direct; I’m here to accompany.
Not medical advice — I don’t replace your care team or guide medical decisions.
Not mindset work — no reframing, no positivity pressure, no bypassing your body’s truth.
Not a place you have to perform wellness — you don’t need to be regulated, grateful, calm, or composed to be here.
